Lee Ann Chivers is an active performer and teacher in the greater Phoenix area. Dr. Chivers teaches at Paradise Valley Community College and served as flute instructor for both The Master’s College and La Sierra University in California. She completed a DMA in flute performance at ASU in 2010.
She has performed as concerto soloist with the Redlands Symphony; was a finalist in the National Flute Association Young Artist competition; won the NFA Convention Performers competition twice, and has performed via invitation at several other NFA conventions, most recently in a 2019 program honoring her flute mentor and NFA founder Philip Swanson.
Dr. Chivers founded two musical organizations: the Greater Los Angeles Flute Society (2001-06) and the Arizona Chamber Music Experience (2013-18), which offered chamber music workshops for adult musicians in Arizona.
