Hannah Selznick, a founding member of MusicaNova Orchestra, is an English horn soloist and oboist with the symphony. Hannah is also a member of the Chandler Symphony, as well as a past principal oboist of the Scottsdale Symphony and a past oboist/English hornist with the Mesa Symphony.
She has over 50 years of experience as an oboe and English horn player, educator, mentor, and free-lance performer. Hannah earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in oboe performance from Tulsa University. She enjoyed post-graduate oboe studies with the late Don Hefner, of Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
Her company, The Oboe Fairy, is now in its 22nd year of service to the oboe community by offering quality instruments that are accessible and affordable for players of all ages. Sales underwrite philanthropy of instruments, lessons, music, and reed-making tools to non-profit music organizations that offer life-changing opportunities for oboe students.
MusicaNova enriches our community by playing new, neglected, and familiar classical music. We bring you the greatest music you’ve never heard – yet!
