Chris Albrecht is a Valley of the Sun trumpet teacher and performer. In addition to his role with MusicaNova Orchestra, he has performed with the West Valley Symphony and Salt River Brass and taught trumpet at South Mountain Community College.
Chris recently received his doctorate in musical arts at Arizona State University, where he served as one of Regents’ Professor David Hickman’s graduate teaching assistants. His other teachers include Benny Nguyen (Phoenix Symphony), Bill Campbell (University of Michigan, and Charles Saenz (Bowling Green State University). While studying at Michigan, he earned master’s degrees in both music performance and brass chamber music.
Outside of music, Chris enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and playing soccer, as well as solving puzzles of various kinds including jigsaw puzzles and Rubik’s cubes.
