Denise Wilson, director

Denise Wilson has enjoyed a diverse career within her two passions – aviation and music. She was a professional oboist-turned-commercial pilot who founded her first company, Desert Jet, a charter management company, with no investors or start-up capital and led the company to rank on the Inc. 500|5000 list of the nation’s fastest growing, privately-owned companies five consecutive years and named one of the “50 Fastest Growing” women-owned/led companies worldwide. She also built a jet maintenance business and a private jet terminal/FBO.
After exiting the companies she founded, Denise now uses her unique experience to assist clients in the acquisition and sales of business jet aircraft. And, she has recently returned to playing the oboe and English horn after a 21 year hiatus. She is Principal Oboe of the Scottsdale Philharmonic and performs on both oboe and English horn with the Chandler Symphony.
Denise is a pilot with over 9000 hours of flight experience with type ratings in 8 different aircraft. She is a former airline captain, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and Check Airman. She is an NBAA Certified Aviation Manager. Her board experience includes serving on the boards for Angel Flight West, Alpine Airpark and National Business Aviation Association’s Certified Aviation Manager program.
She has been featured, published, and quoted in Inc. Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, Business Jet Traveler, USA Today, Forbes, CNBC, Fox Business, Entrepreneur Magazine, Barron’s, and Aviation for Women Magazine.
